About The Single

Tetradecahedron is my debut single. It released on February 24 2023; what a way to kick off the new year! The world had just emerged from lockdown, I had just begun Highschool, and my first collection of organized sound was released onto the masses!

I don't remember exactly when I started working on tetradecahedron, and the original .flp files are lost to time after my hard drive died later in 2023. But, I do know that I was working on the song since at least January of that year, as that is when I created the album artwork in Canva. Fun fact, this is the only song for which I've actually made the artwork myself!

The song itself is...really odd; the music features a lot of synthesized instruments, heavily inspired by Lemon Demon, combined with a weird chord progression and melody due to my lack of music theory knowledge at the time. But, that actually makes the song pretty interesting to listen to nowadays!

I remember trying to purposefully make the song's lyrics weird and confusing, probably to mask the fact that I couldn't really write coherent stuff at the time. (as the saying goes, make the bug a feature!) As a result of the lyrics' scientific/mathematical nature, I've been asked many times if they were written as a school project. However, it was not. Rather, it was all my idea from the very beginning, the first phase of my plan to RULE THE UNIVERSE!!

The plot of the song is that a group of 14 scientists discover a new shape called the tetradecahedron. (which is acually a real-world shape with 14 sides) Upon observing the tetradecahedron, the scientists realize that it is actually crucial to the functioning of the entire Universe...or something like that.

Tetradecahedron recieved a physical release as a bonus track on my debut album Surface of the Sun!

The Earth as we know it is not a globe, but neither is it flat

After discovering the shape, the group of 14 scientists gathered together to observe its mysterious properties
They found that the tetɾadecahedron was ɾesponsible for all of the natural wonders that our survival depends on
The DNA sequences in our cells, atoms, black holes, and even existence at all would cease to exist without the tetɾadecahedron

There are 14 sides in the third-dimension
And that's way too much for our comprehension
There are two hexagons and 12 pentagons
And together they make Humanity their pawns

A 14-sided apocalypses
To contɾol all of our politics
An object of pure benevolence
No one can doubt its prevalence

In Mankind's work and philosoρhy
